This project entailed assisting architect, Kurt Otto of (ENV) Environetics Architects & EKO-Development tile design in a newly built home in Bergen County. After designing the home Kurt paired with Mediterranean Tile designer, Nina Martin to utilize her tile design ability to finish the house.
For the walls, Nina used crisp white ceramic subway tiles by Adex. The beveled tiles give the room added dimension and a more custom look without adding much more to the cost. She then used the same limestone that was used on the floor, as a border around the room
The accent wall panel in the shower is a shimmery metallic glass mosaic by AlysEdwards in a warm gray and taupe blend which ties in beautifully with the vein-cut limestone floor and border.
1” white porcelain penny rounds, provided by Terra Tile and Marble, add a playful touch to the shower floor, as well as the main floor rug. The warm gray grout not only makes the penny rounds pop but also ties the look together with these limestone floor tiles surrounding the inset.
