Meet the Designer
For more than a decade, Nancy Leffler-Mikulich has developed her design style by infusing many design influences from the classic and refined, to Asian, bohemian, modern, and chic. From her boutique store and design studio, OASIS HOME, located in Downtown Asbury Park, New Jersey, Nancy and her associates build on the passion for luxury design and curation of home décor, art and all things beautiful and unique. Oasis Home Designs, (formerly NLM Design Interiors) is known for creating spaces that are striking, poetic environments combining clean lines and classic form.
The spaces designed are at once comfortable and fresh, reflecting her lifelong passion for music, dance, art, design, fashion, and architecture. Her passion for music performance and recording began as a classically trained violinist and eventually an electric violinist; performing in such hallowed halls as Lincoln Center, and Max’s and CBGBS.
In the 1990s, Nancy relocated from NYC to the Redwood Coastline of California, where, she pursued and received her second degree in interior design while flipping houses.
Nancy approaches her design projects by appreciating the collaborative process with her clients and professional artisans she brings to each project. Promoting the value of great design and recognizing how good design has the ability to positively impact people, transform their experiences, and, in business environment, enhance brand awareness and profitability.
Ideal projects include private homes, workplaces, retail, dentist offices, and lobbies throughout the Metro area.
Recognized by ASID, Houzz, and HGTV, Nancy has been a featured designer in several New Jersey showhouses such as Mansion in May, and Stately Homes by the Sea and been a trend spotter/blogger for Design NJ at High Point Market. She has also been frequently featured in numerous publications, books, and media outlets. The award-winning designer, speaker, mentor and retailer, now heads up two companies: OASIS HOME by NLM Design Interiors and Design like a Rockstar.of Design NJ.
