About the Project
The homeowner’s objective was to create a relaxed transitional living space for their young family to grow in. Functionality, durability and quality were key components to the selection of all the pieces and materials used in this home, from custom upholstered stools to high quality tile. As always, we worked very closely with the homeowners in order to learn about their lifestyle and choose items accordingly. They were extremely pleased with the results and how the project came together.
The master bathroom was designed with classic yet simple clean lines and doesn’t spare on attention to detail. The bathroom has 4 unique but cohesive tile selections. The inside of the shower has a gorgeous wall detail of Calacatta and Thassos in a classic chevron pattern. Bianco Carrara mosaic on the shower floor complements the chevron walls. Finally, the bathroom floor has a honed 12×24 Bianco Carrara, with the wall tile consisting of 12×24 Glassos porcelain.
The transitional style kitchen features a gorgeous tile backsplash utilizing Statuary Polished Marble. The tiles used here were 2 x 8″ cut from 16 x 16″. The area above the stove was designed with the same marble as the backsplash in a Herringbone mesh pattern that serves as a beautiful focal point for the room.
